Also, the book stores. I live in Winchester (about 30 min from you) and we have a small bookstore that has a film night once a week, where people watch as a group and then discuss the film afterwards. The book stores should have flyers or other events, especially music events.
There's also a nice theater in Winchester called The Alamo that's really cool -- serves food and drinks while you watch the movie. They also have cinema film nights, special showings (i.e.,showing the last episode of
Lost ), and events. The last time I was there I found out that they have comedy nights. I used to go to the Comedy Club in downtown DC but it was always so overcrowded so I'm looking forward to going sometime to this one.
