For a laugh I went through the archives looking for our prediction thread from last year. Can you believe we didn't have one! Well! This year we will not be so remiss! List your predictions here, and on New Year's Day 2011 we'll check back and see just how many came true.

I predict in 2010:

* Reality TV will discover Nova big time. They'll film Survivor Nova--a special Survivor series where the challenges include a commute through Tyson's Corner. Oh, and Trump will film The Apprentice here, of course, so he can show off his new golf course.

* Yet another Wegman's will be built in an unincorporated area that will mushroom once the store is in place. Accordingly, the 50,000 people who move in will name the town "Wegman". (And you'll hear about the town of Wegman everywhere except on the maps, of course. Loudoun towns never appear on maps.)

* Metro will announce that rail to Dulles will be completed "in just another five years." In an effort to go green, they will make this announcement by recycling the exact same press releases used five years ago.

Hahaha, I totally agree on metro to Dulles. They really need to think about it a bit more. Forty years is not long enough, needs more thought.

I sure hope that the town of Wegmans is somewhere in Western Loudoun, north east of Leesburg would be perfect.

My big prediction, a fairly easy one, Republicans will win big in November. They will take back the House and come close to having a majority in the Senate. Frank Wolf will win in a landslide, again.

I predict traffic will be even worse. I think the Skins will have another bad season. Alexandria City Public Schools may make AYP. I predict I won't be here to see half of this in person.

I predict NoVA will trump L.A. for officially having the dubious title of the nation's worst traffic.

I predict Restonians will continue to bellyache and whine about the "bogeyman" Metrorail that is coming and how it will....gasp...Arlingtonize/Bethesdafy Reston (but then quietly cash in on the huge property value boost that Metrorail will bring)!

I predict the Redskins will have a better season.

I predict Sterling will get a Sonic restaurant.

I predict Brambleton will get a Hard Rock Cafe.

Makes sense, since I predict half the population of LA will move here.

They will if we keep on stealing all of their jobs.

I predict that those who make rude comments on City Data will get busted by the Tone Moderator. Let's act like grown-ups and stop bashing people.

Now back to the OP - no clue, but was checking in here for some fun replies and found the above crap. Looking forward to more on-topic replies.

Significant property tax rate increases in Fairfax County, followed by large scale removal of Dems from Congress. It will be revealed that 90% of people on public assistance have mobile phones and pay tv.
There will be HGTV programs that follow buyers as they attempt to buy homes for pennies on the Dollar.
