Hi -

I am looking for a restaurant recommendation.

Here's the situation -

Group of 8 or 9 will be traveling from Baltimore to Richmond after the Reds - Orioles game on Sunday June 26. We will want to eat by about the time we get south of D.C. (guessing @ 5:30pm).

Two members of our party are on restrictive diets so we want menu options at whatever restaurant. A buffet could work, but open to other suggestions. In terms of price range, prefer modest. Meaning $$ per person is okay, but not $$$ or worse.

Thanks!

Hopefully someone will have some good ideas - I'm thinking Dale City/Woodbridge or before or in Fredericksburg would be the options?

Probably closer to DC than Fredricksburg would be best. Primarily focused on a restaurant that can meet our dietary needs which generally requires a lot of menu options.

What about a nice, casual meal at Cracker Barrel? They have several locations south of DC right off 95. They make really good food with lots of choices at good prices.

Enjoy the baseball game!

Mikes American Grill in Springfield? Easy access from 495/395, reasonable prices, and gooooooood food.

Thanks both! Not sure we can do Cracker Barrel even though it is well liked I think most of their food has wheat/gluten which is one of the many things on the restricted list. I will check out Mike's American Grill.

Other suggestions welcome! More choices the better!

Mike's American is a good suggestion. I can't say that we like Cracker Barrel though. Gave it three chances.
How about Giorgio's in Montclair? It is probably about 2 miles west of I95 on route 234 (exit 152).

Giorgios Family Restaurant

Nevermind my previous post. Giorgio's is closed on Sunday.

Pane Vino and Fireside Grill in Lorton aren't far off of I95. They are right across the street from each other.

Mike's is a very nice place. But considering that a simple burger and fries -- while sizable and delicious -- is $10, I don't know if it would meet the $$ standard.

What does "$$" equal? What is the price range?
