I reassert my ancient claim that it may be worth the drive to Old Town Alexandria to choose from several barber shops and beauty salons that specialize in working with Black hairstyles.

So the ones out in the burbs such as Manassas that specialize in black hairstyles can't be just as good?

I have no doubt that they can; I just think that the concentration in Old Town Alexandria creates enough choice and competition to offer a value that is worth the commute. I do concede that if all one wants is a haircut, then traveling past, say, Manassas to patronize OTA may not be cost-effective.

Not sure how many "black" barbers there are in and around Manassas but there are some. There are plany of barbers in this area though and I have always received quality haircuts in Manassas ever since I started getting them back in the ate 70's. I would argue the quality is just as good in the burbs and the cost lower.
