Hello!

We are moving to the Fairfax area in 2 weeks and I've had a terrible time trying to find a preschool that has openings at this very late date. My first grader will be at Waples Mill elementary but I need to find a pre-K program for my 4 year old. Does anyone know of any preschools in the area that may have openings?

Thank you so much in advance for any assistance!

You might try Beginning Bridges in Herndon. Our son starts there in sept and my older is starting Kinder at Waples Mill.

It's tough! Are you getting on wait lists now? Families are always moving in and out of the area, so you may be able to get in late if nothing is open for the start of the year. How far are you willing to travel?

Thanks! I'll definitely check out the school in Herndon. I don't think I can travel too far because I do have to get my first grader to Waple Mills. I'm already uncertain as to how I'm going to get 2 kids to 2 different schools at the same time....

Don't know if you found a place yet but we recently moved away and I am desperately missing my daughter's preschool, Fairfax Presbyterian. I cannot recommend them enough (and am saddened at the poor preschool choices in southern PWC.)

Spring-Mar cooperative preschool is really wonderful and might have just gotten some openings in that grade. Send them an email to check.

Jewish Community Center is also very good, but I don't know if they have any openings or not right now (I don't think you have to be Jewish).
