I'm currently living with a roommate in Alexandria, but she can no longer afford to live on her own so she is moving home with parents. I however, do not have that option. I would like to stay in the Alexandria, Arlington, Falls Church Area but I need a SMALL......small..small place just for me a my 12lb shih tzu (well behaved and house trained).

My suggestion was going to be Foxchase in Alexandria, since they're small and pet friendly, but it looks like the base rent is more like $1130. It used to be closer to $1000.

Well ideally, I would like to rent a converted garage or studio/warehouse or something. I don't need all the fancy things --- just a place to live with a nice patio/outside area. I got a recommendation yesterday to check out the local papers which i plan on doing. I hate CL -- so sketch
