Does anyone know if the school system require the use of student planners for 2nd graders? We didn't need them last year but I'm curious to know if I should buy on our own or if the school issues them or buy from the schools.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you mean the calendar notebooks that they write their homework assignments down in and where the teacher can leave you notes etc, my children's schools provide them. Wait until the first day of school, when your kids get home, you will probably have information about what you need to get -- if anything.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply. I guess, I'll wait to find out. I found one I like on amazon but I'll wait.

If they're necessary for your child's grade, the school supplies it and you'll want to use there's, as they get customized for your school and has information specific to your school in it (phone numbers, hours, rules, etc.) Or, at least mine did when I was in LCPS. I know they still use them, so I can't imagine they've changed. I just don't remember what grade they started.
