Need some concrete advice!

Moving to work new job very soon that is actually in Georgetown, but looking to live as close to Key Bridge in Arlington as reasonable for rent. I am okay living up to 15 - 20 minutes out.

Okay with rent between $1300 and $1700, would prefer garden style vs high rise..with garage, open parking space, washer /dryer in unit, exercise room, access to public transportation would be a plus.

Don't care about nightlife...any recommendations of decent apartment complexes would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

The Madison at Ballston Station might be a good fit. According to their website, they meet your amenity requirements and you can get a studio for around the top of your budget.

I agree with Meridian at Ballston if you want a shiny, beautiful, and new apartment; they are very nice looking and secluded without being far out. Columbia Pike has a few that fit your needs and is not too far from Georgetown. Archstone (Columbia?), Dorchester Apartments, and Fillmore Gardens in order from nice/expensive, to cheap/older.

There is a place called Cherry Hill that is older but in a great location for Georgetown off of Lee Hwy.

There are some garden apartments in Rosslyn. The semi-garden apartments called Rosslyn Heights I have heard are very expensive and that is mainly because of their great location to Court House and the metros. Next to those there are condos in Colonial Village that are small but you may find a unit on craigslist. Additionally, On Quinn St (or around that area) are several older kinda crappy-looking but safe garden apartments and condos that I would imagine have college students. . I would NOT recommend it, but if they are cheap, they are about 15-20 min walking distance from M Street in Georgetown. I know you want garden apartments but there are much more larger buildings around Rosslyn. You should take a drive and see how you like it. If you can get to a place walking distance to the Rosslyn station there is a bus that goes to Georgetown.

Disclaimer: All of the apartments sans some of those on Columbia Pike are close to the top of your range. Just want to throw that out there.
