I recently left the DC area for work, and came back to notice a huge difference in people. We are very miserable here in this town. I cannot believe I am still living here. Seriously I don't care about your status or what you do. Outside of work, we're all the same.

I'm not miserable myself, but then again I don't work a high stress (or high paying ) job like so many in the area. DC is full of workaholics, by choice or necessity.

I've noticed a pattern with VRE so I'm not surprised. I've been in NOVA since 73 and am now ready to move further out for more land and country living but will never say I'm unhappy here.

Hmmmm that's subjective because I find this area way more vibrant compared to other parts of Virginia or other places where it seems like there's very little jobs/money moving around and everyone seems like they're barely making it by.
