Since when in the world does Annandale have a "thriving singles scene"? MAYBE if you are Korean or hang out with the young Korean community, and frequent the karaoke bars, but otherwise definitely no .

Falls Church and Vienna really do not, either.

Thanks for the responses. I've heard Falls Church is nice. Reston Town Center is nice but the rents are as high as DC. I'm not a bar scene guy but I do like to dine out and want to be close to a metro.

When you get married and have kids, make a bee line for Ashburn. Otherwise, stay where you are.

I'll try. $3,000/month in rent is so high though!

For that amount you could easily rent in Old Town Alexandria. While not as hip as DC you are by a Metro, trails, etc.

Where the hell are you looking? $3,000 for what? 1 Bedroom or 2 bedroom?

Yeah you're overpaying a lot. But I guess you probably have a lot of nice amenities. To each their own.

I live in Navy Yard by the baseball park. It's an expensive area. You have to realize my place is pretty big and faces the water and my grocery store and my gym are in my building so I pay for a lot of convenience.
