Sorry, prices aren't falling. Median sale price of all dwellings dropped because there were fewer detached houses sold. Prices on those continue a steady increase, especially in the sub-850K range, where demand far exceeds supply.

Even with another catastrophic housing collapse, don't expect a big fall; It happened last time due to bad lending practice. It won't fall much, I think it will be stagnant.

This article is the epitome of bad statistics.

Median home price is not a good measure. No real estate agent on earth looks at that, nor should buyers, nor should sellers. I'm not even a real estate agent and I know that. All that matters is per square foot price. End of story. I'm sure if you look at that, the price has actually continued to grow in Arlington, and not the complete opposite like this ignorant report states.

Hmmm, yes, if only there were a way to normalize prices that could account for different sized houses. Nope, can't think of any...
