Default Lake Braddock area Burke

I've been looking online at homes in the Lake Braddock area of Burke. Does anyone anything about it? Nice area? Parks? Good schools (for age 9 and 11)? Nice place for biking? Commute to arlington? I prefer public transportation if I can get it.
thanks
BT

Lake Braddock is a very nice area of Burke - I have heard Lake Braddock High School has won some awards. There are tons of parks in that area including Burke Lake Park which is huge and has hiking trails, a carosel, train and minature golf - people also camp thre. There are plenty of trails for biking.

Burke as a whole is a safe, family-friendly area. Lake Braddock HS is well regarded. The rec centers, libraries and parks in the area are great. Burke Lake is our favorite. If you are working in Arlington, you can take the commuter train (VRE) from Burke to Crystal City and it's about a 30 min ride. Parking at the VRE stations is free, but there is also a shuttle that goes around the neighborhoods in the area.

I live in the Lake Braddock community and I really like it. (HOA is a pain, but aren't all HOAs?) We are steps away from Lake Braddock (the lake), which is nice for biking. It is only a a little over a mile all the way around, but still nice. There are 2 or 3 playgrounds near the lake that we take our 1 year old son to. Not sure about the schools since my son is only one. Nice to be able to walk to the pool and tennis courts. We walk to Burke Village shopping center and there are a couple of nice family restaurants there.

Couldn't tell you about the commute to Arlington as I head the other way to Tyson's.

Definitely a nice area and if we could afford a SFH in the nearby neighborhood of Signal Hill, we'd definitely stay!
