Good Italian deli - Reston
I'm looking for a decent deli in the Reston area. I want Chorizo sausage, the proper cured stuff. Not the salami/pepperoni that i can get at the grocery store and not the Italian sausage that you have to cook.
I realise that Chorizo is not Italian but thought they would stock it.

Reason: addition and spelling

Unfortunately, there are NO, repeat NO Italian delis in Fairfax, Loudon area. Some call them selves "Italian deli" but if you are used to the NY/NJ style delis, there are none.

I'll try Wegmans and that place in Herndon to start with then. Maybe a road trip to NY is on the cards!
Thanks all.

I'd try a Wegman's, Whole Foods, or Trader Joe's (don't know which of these are out in Reston). They usually have both real chorizo and "chorizo" (spicier fresh sausage). Also, it's a bit of a hike, but I know for a fact that Dean & Deluca has a decent smoked/dried meats selection ( Gourmet Food Gift Baskets, Cakes, California Wines – Dean & DeLuca).

you can also try international markets, such as Super H mart, to see if they carry it fresh.

If that's true, I hope one of you entrepreneurial types take note. Sounds like it could be a good business to open.
