Default King Street Trolley - Alexandria

Hi everyone - I'm starting a job next week in Old Town and was thinking of taking the King Street trolley to the metro after work.

Has anyone ridden the trolley around 5:00-5:20 pm and if so, is it packed w/ people? I'll be getting on it at the St Asaph stop. Thanks so much!

Sorry, I've only ridden it on weekends. It comes every 20 mins. though so eventually you'll be able to get on. Or...walk down to the Torpedo Factory where it starts.

This being tourist season, it will likely be busier than later in the year.

I don't think it's usually packed at that time going towards the Metro. There aren't a lot of commuters that use it; it's mostly tourists and people going out at night.

If it does happen to be packed, there are DASH buses that parallel the trolley route.

I don't think it's particularly bad around then. My friend takes it sometimes when she comes into DC after work and hasn't mentioned any problems.
