I'm moving to Vienna and my choices in the building are Directv and Cox, no Fios. I'll be on the 13th floor in the Wilton House condo.

- Will I have problems when bad weather hits the area with Directv?

- How does Internet work with Directv, any less reliable/fast than cable?

- I'm a huge LA baseball fan and will need to get MLB Extra Innings package. It is so convoluted to decipher what I'm actually going to get from each provider. It appears Directv will give me all of my games in HD, which is a major selling factor, while Cox will be very sporadic. Help!

Thanks.

When we had Direct TV, our internet was through Verizon as part of a package deal. I didn't know Direct TV even did internet. Our Verizon DSL was actually faster than the Verizon Fios we have now. Go figure!

We are big baseball fans too (Red Sox) and we currently get games on the internet through mlbtv.com. We have been happy with it and it's only $14.95 a month, but naturally there are quality issues with watching games on the computer. Good luck deciding.

If you make a contract with COX they'll throw u things a throw away prices.. I just moved out of NoVA but I had COX and I paid $65 for basic, expanded, encore, hbo, showtime, dvr and 12mbps interent.

i agreed for 12 month commitment for free showtime long time ago, then i made another 1 for free HBO. I made another for $15 discount on my 12MBPS internet and some more stuff like that.. I even cried to retensions a couple times that I lost my job and am hooked onto dVR and got them to waive my DVR charge..

after all that when I moved out, I said am moving to a place where cox does not offer service and they didnt charge me a single $ for not fullfilling the 12 months..
