Hi all - well it's time for the first hair service since moving here...and have no idea what salons are good etc. I'm happy to travel to Leesburg if that's where the best places will be, but I'm located in Round Hill. I'm used to a pretty high end salon/spa, and would like to find similar. Please recommend... thanks

My roots definately need a touch up, so if you find a good place, please let me know. I had my hair cut at Bubbles in the Dulles Center Mall, the stylist did an ok job, but for hi-lighting I'd much rather have someone recommended.

Great post! I need highlights & color, but am looking for a reputable salon in generally the same area - Sterling/Ashburn/Leesburg, but I'm willing to drive to Reston/Tyson's Corner if I find someone good to do my hair. Right now, I'm flying back to Dallas to get it done, so anything up here would be great!

I go to Bree at Rain in Ashburn and she is very good. I just went and tried Bubbles at Dulles Town Center after I commented on someones hair and they told me to use their stylist at Bubbles who was Jovanna. She did a GREAT job on the cut but not so happy with the color. (Found out they use L'oreal color and I wanted something a little better than that!) I will go back to Bree. I actually feel guilty for not going to her for this cut but it was one of those "I'm in the mall and I liked that girls hair so I am gonna just go and do it" thing, lol!
Other stylists at Rain also have a good rep. A lot of them came from Radiance Day Salon in Ashburn.

When I lived in Ashburn, I would go to Bristles and Shears off waxpool/church. My recommendation is Erin - she is young but VERY talented - especially with color and cuts! The salon seems homey but the owner always sends her stylists to the latest conventions and events so they can learn new techniques and refine their existing ones.

I highly recommend this place!
