That's just a rumor. I know there are definite plans for Sonic to infiltrate the more immediate NoVA area (closest location now is in Winchester) within the next 1-2 years, but I've only heard Reston as an unconfirmed rumor. Apparently Crumbs will be a reality though; they are similar to Georgetown Cupcakes.

Unforunately, all Landmark has are chain resturants which most close at midnight. If I have to pick out one of them it would be Wendy's which is head and shoulders over BK and McDonalds.

If I lived in Ballston one place I would go to is my favorite resturant Carpool. They are open until 2am.

Eggspectation is a real place and their omelets are awesome! As is just about everything else on the menu, yum! But they aren't open late, I think they close at 10pm.

Silver Diner is usualy open, but I prefer the local diners if they are open and nearby. Nothing special about Silver Diner.

If you're talking about Angeethi, it's really good. I think it made the Washingtonian Best Cheap Eats list (meaning it is moderately priced )

I tend to be successful at avoiding any late night cravings, but I do enjoy cold pizza at 2 AM (Papa John's is my favorite of the Big Three), and vegetarian doner/gyros. What can I say, I did most of my drinking in Germany.

Oh, and burritos. That was what everyone ate at 2 AM in college, and I didn't even go to school in California!

Jumbo Slice pizza in DC is one of my favorites. Never had it sober though.

Default Late-night food

Man! I wish I'd had this list last night! Got off a gig at 2:30 am and was sooo hungry, and NOTHING was open! This seemed very unusual to me...I'm from TX originally and have lived in several places. I've never lived in a place where it was so hard to find all-night food! Most fast-food joints in TX have the drive-tru (at the very least) open 24 hours. And, I know I'll take flak for saying it...there's a lot of really great things about NOVA, but I miss Super Wal Mart!

There is one on Rt. 1 (Richmond Highway) in "county" Alexandria maybe two miles south of the Beltway.
