OK, so maybe we don't have a parade or people throwing beads in the streets this year (thank goodness, that's the last thing we need). But we have snowplows throwing snow melt crystals--if you use your imagination, that's almost the same thing. I'm glad most of the Mardi Gras events got cancelled, but I, for one, am still going to get in the spirit. We're having a little cajun food for dinner, and a king's cake from Weggies.

For me, it's fat every day of the year. I haven't decided what I'll be giving up for Lent this year, but I do know it'll be a day of gluttony and debauchery today.

Have you had the hot cross buns from Wegmans? Any good?

LOL, you know I've never tried giving up something for Lent before. Can I give up snow for Lent? That seems like a good thing to give up!

I've never tried the Hot Cross Buns. But, if it helps, here are some Nova restaurants serving good cajun food. Maybe one of them has hot cross buns.
