I am new to the area and wondering if there is any swimming in lake george I love to swim in rivers and lakes not really a fan of public pools and if not is there any lake swimming near town?Thanks

Indiana Beach, Lake Shafer is only about an hour or so south of Hobart. One of the nicest lakes in all of Indiana.

How about Lake Michigan? You're not that far from the Dunes State Park.

The two major lakes I can think of in the area are Lake Michigan and, obviously, and Cedar Lake.
