R.I.P. financial future.

If you're going to major in this you may as well go to CC in your home state and transfer to U of F or another uni in state, save a lot of money, THEN move to Hawaii to be a barista or cashier, albeit with far less student debts.

I REALLY don't want to rain on your parade, it seems like you have your decision made. A public relations specialist in Hawaii will at best make something in the range of 50K. A 10 yr. experienced public relations manager is still under 100K. This will not be enough to live there and pay those hefty student loans.

I am saying this in the nicest way possible, as I would say it to a young sibling, child or to myself when younger. This sacrifice would only make sense if you were going to UH to study geology or something very specific to Hawaii. Stay in Florida, graduate without debt, and then go anywhere you desire.

lol... or like I said, graduate in her home state. Then take $3k/year vacations to Hawaii for the rest of her life with the tuition difference.

Either way is better than taking on life-crushing debt for a degree that has little-to-no value in the workforce.

If OP was majoring in engineering, medicine, accounting/finance, it'd probably be ok in the end (still not ideal), but these fluff majors plus moving to an expensive locale and paying out of state tuition almost never end well.
