We are just staying 1 night but need a nice hotel for a family of 5 to stay right off Interstate 75.
Can you suggest the a good priced hotel conveniently off the highway so we can get back on with ease and save time?

When I came down to look at houses and again to close, I stayed at the La Quinta, on Rt 200 right off 75. The staff is nice, the rooms were large and sparkling clean, and the price incredibly reasonable -- under $60 a night (I had a room with a king bed, microwave, and fridge). Now, that room wouldn't suit you, but they have rooms with different sleeping configurations.

I've stayed at the Sleep Inn at exit 341 a few times. It is only a few years old, and very clean. There is a bit less congestion at that exit then there is at rt 200. They honor all the travel coupons, it is usually under $60 a night.

The Holiday Inn Express is really nice and there is a restaurant called Sky which is excellent.

The Sleep Inn off 75 at the Belleview/Dunnellon exit rocks, and the LaQuinta one exit north on 200 is good as well. Prices are extremely reasonable, and the service is excellent at both. I found the Sleep Inn to have a bit more comfortable beds. Also, the LaQuinta was so packed that it was difficult to find a parking spot.

Maybe that has to do with the time of year? I was at the LaQuinta last June for a couple of days (when I went down to look at houses) and again in August for nearly a week (when I went down for our closing, and to do a few things at the house) and I never had a problem parking. Of course, I was back in the room by 7pm, but when I left to drive to Tampa to make my flight, I left the hotel at 6am and there were ample spots.
