Hi - hope you can help.
I'm looking for suggestions on renting a picnic pavilion on Lake Erie for the day for a family reunion.
I know we'll want beer and wine and the state parks all say no alcohol. Do they enforce that?
Anywhere from Sandusky to Catawba Island to Port Clinton.
thanks in advance for your help.
A.J.

Hmm. I cant think of any place that isnt like a private club or something. Theres parks everywhere along the lake, but like you said, I dont know what their alcohol policies are.

Yes the state parks will enforce the no alcohol rules. They might look past one or two campers quietly sipping a beer or two back in their campsite, but they wouldn't overlook a large group in a picnic area openly drinking.

You might check with the Moose Hall just west of downtown Port Clinton, they may do rentals on their property. Nice lake front property with paved parking and a decent place to see the sun set.
