Cleavland has it's own. So do all of the other cities. It was confusing to me as to where to post when I was looking at first into colleges for my son, and later into relocation. I'm sure I'm not the only onewho feels this way.

Between Youngstown, Warren, Boardman, and all of the suburbs - Cortland, Canfield, Liberty, Niles, Hubbard, Salem, Ciolumbiana, Sturthers, Poland, Girard and McDonald (sure I've missed a few) one would think the area would have the population to command a sub forum.

What are your thoughts?

We tried to get a Youngstown/Warren sub-forum (which, based on your description, is what you're really asking for) a couple years ago. But we were told that there just isn't the post traffic that the other cities have.

A "NE Ohio" sub-forum might also be confusing, because Akron, Canton, and Cleveland are usually considered part of northeast Ohio, too. That's another reason why it would have to be a "Youngstown/Warren" sub-forum.

Subforums invite divisiveness. Sorry.

Invite divisiveness? This is a subforum. The Ohio subforum. For simplicity. When I first came here, to the Ohio subforum, I was inquiring about some Universities for my son. Dayton, Akron, and Cleverland State were easy. But Youngstown and Kent State? For an out of stater not so easy.

Nor was it easy to find information about Warren or Boardman. Nothing divisive about it.

There doesn't seem to be enough traffic to justify some of the current subforums, let alone creating new ones.

I notice that unless a person lives in a "subforum" area they mostly just post there and not in other areas of the Ohio forum. For example, when there was no dayton or toledo forum i used to read their posts too. Now that they are separate I don't read about them. I mostly read general Ohio, Cleveland and Pittsburgh, because those forum pertain to me. If someone posted a dayton subject in general ohio i would probably read it, but not if i had to go under the dayton forum..........

So do you think it's a bad idea?

Yes, if we just had a forum dedicated to Youngstown/Warren, no one but Youngstown/Warren people would look at it and there aren't many of us here.........

I think Youngstown/Warren should have their own, as should Erie in the Pennsylvania forums.

I remember back when we petitioned for YEARS for an Akron/Canton subforum. And now that we have had one for a few years, there are hardly any fresh posts on it. I say we either rename it to the "Akron/Canton/Youngstown" forum, or just simply "NE Ohio".
