Default fshaurya

fshaurya, are you in Oklahoma? I'm just curious about your experience. As a hispanic once stationed in a air force post in Oklahoma; I can tell you people are very racist in Oklahoma. I travel a lot and Oklahoma is by far one of the worse states to live if you're a minority.

First of all, people who make such broad generalizations about other people are the ones who tend to be the racists.
Second, I highly doubt you were in the Air Force. I was for 24 years and nobody calls it a "post". That is for a different branch.

Lots of Black Airmen were stationed there, but they didn't live where the base was but lived in the Negro part of OKC.

Probably because they read the sign outside the base that said "Negro, don't let the sun set on you in Midwest City".

I am white, my girlfriend was Black/Cherokee. It was against the law for us to get married in Oklahoma so we drove to New Mexico.

Tinker got away with things that would not happen in the most racist state of the Union "Mississippi". The Federal Government and the U.S.A.F. would have come down on Mississippi with both FEET if they tried that nonsense in Biloxi MS. or Gulfport MS. which had a huge U.S. N. Base......
