The Spring Creek expansion was approved in Edmond and will the first lifestyle center in that state. It will include an urban retail center with apartments overhead.

Fresh Market is likely the grocer tenant as reported by Pete and I suspect there will be a Cost Plus World Market and Crate Barrel. It is identified that the Memphis based developer Poag wants to bring almost all new to market retailers to the development.

This is a great development for Edmond and represents a major change in the OKC metro with University North Park, Chisholm Creek, and Glimcher.

Insomnia Cookies
Insomnia Cookies have been on the strip in Stillwater since 2015. The cookies are quite popular with college kids. Older people, too.

I don't know.

However, on the north side, the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market opened Wednesday. Its size and layout isn't much different to Food Pyramid, or in other words a common grocery store like Homeland.

What's to say that the Edmond lifestyle center won't get scratched or extremely watered down like all the others before it?

Redevelopment | Hotel + Apartments + Retail | 33 Stories | CBD

To be known as The First, the historic First National Center (1931) will be redeveloped to have 35,000 sf of commercial space, a 149-room boutique hotel, and 210 apartments. The Great Banking Hall will be restored to be used as a public lobby, event space, and museum. The non-historic center and eastern part of the complex is to be replaced by structured parking with ground level commercial space. The complex is set to sell for $23 million and estimates of the redevelopment top $200 million.

Very excited and looking forward to this project!
