My husband and I are driving across the country and plan to stop for a night in OKC. I know nothing about the city...and have pulled up some hotels that are pet-friendly (we have a cat). But other than that...I'd love some recommended areas or hotels in particular.

Thanks

It would depend on your expenses. I stayed at the Bricktown Marriott several times and it was great. It's right across the street from the Ford Center, and within walking distance of lots of places to eat and be entertained.

Hopefully some of the residents will chime in to help you out. Safe travels..

There's a renaissance in downtown, can't miss the big green triangle roof.

I-40 and Meridian area is packed with hotels and restaurants for quick on and off the interstate. Just avoid I-35 hotels from NW 63 all the way to about SW 74. All the Bricktown hotels are fairly new but will be a little more pricey. There a couple newer hotels off I-40 and Mustang Rd that is west of Oklahoma City but fewer restaurants.
