hello,

We are moving to OKC from Ca next week on a short notice. We checked out apartments in norman and Edmond but I was wondering where in OKC is a good place to live... do you have an apartment complex that you can recommend that takes two medium size dog??? preferably in a safe suburb.. any recommendation is greatly appreciated. If you can give me some zip code to stay away from or to look into..

thank you

Edmond/Deer Creek area is by far the best place to live. It is the BEST school district ( don't know if that matters) and no crime so it's the safest. I would check North Oklahoma city if you want OKC, but stay away from S. OKC, Midwest city and Del city areas! Great N. Okc apartments are Sycamore Farms (basically in Edmond with OKC address) and Stonebridge Apartments (in edmond). Good luck. We are going to have a house for rent in June in Edmond/Deer Creek area. Lemme know if you need more info!

I will second Sycamore Farms. We lived in a corporate apt there for a couple of months when we first moved to OKC, before we could get into our home. It was very nice. Lot's of young single professionals, as well as some families and empty-nesters. They do allow dogs, and as I recall some of the ones I saw were pretty large. We had one dog, about 25 pounds. They also have pretty large area in the back where you can walk your dogs and maybe even give them a little run, with poop bag stations and trash cans placed strategically around the area.

Norman is also a very nice area. OKC has lots of nice areas. OKC is very spread out, so you might consider what area of town you'll be working in, then narrow your search from there.

Yeah this is pretty accurate. South OKC is not great but Moore and Norman are nice areas. Most of the stuff near I240 I'd steer clear of.
