Default Any Oklahoma regional stereotypes?

Does anyone have any stereotypes of fellow Oklahomans? Either self perpetuated or totally false?

Okies are pretty proud, but we are also becoming pretty varied. The most obvious stereotype would be between city folks and rural or small town people.

When I go visit OKC, I often curl my upper lip and snarl when I have to deal with traffic or crowds. Sometimes, I don't even think of SE OKC as Oklahoma! It could be any other suburban city in USA.

The only real stereotype I know of goes to the SE corner of our state. Where legend has it, the folks are dentally challenged hillbillius redneckus variety of the human species.

Behind the buckskin curtain, our stereotype of other indians is Osage are all rich. And everyone knows Tonkawas are cannibals. But we won't go into tribal wars.

Not so long ago a County Commissioner called about a road problem adjacent to an old farm we own in the southwest part of the state. I asked my son to go and he took another fellow with him. When they arrived at the county office they were greeted with "You the boys from the city?" Later they met some others at the farm and again it was "You the boys from the city?"

We all think it's funny because we don't really consider ourselves very urban here in Moore.
