Give me the information, and I will look it up for you, locate it on DeLorme, and post it on here, if you want.

You should talk to an oil-gas attorney. Me thinks they found something there. I don't know of any company that is offering $1000 an acre to purchase mineral rights unless they have actually found something.

I have some kin folk here in Oklahoma that just negotiated some new leases on there property. They got $435 an acre plus they also get a production royalty every month.

Thanks everyone. It is Township 4 North, Range 9 East, Section 10 in Hughes County. I pretty much know the general area; it's a few miles (maybe more than a few) West of 75 in Southern Hughes County, on the Western side of the County out amongst a lot of hills.

I'm not going to sell my mineral rights. I believe they are going to start drilling on this soon and hopefully some royalties will be coming in.

I'm pretty sure it is in this area.

You're just a few miles south of Calvin. Our friend had all that trouble with the oil company who were serveying his property lives about 4 miles south of Calvin. So, the oil/gas people must be getting busy in those parts.

Boy, you ARE in the woods down there, aren't you? That's straight up tick/sasquatch/ central.

Yeah, it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful country though.

It is the 3rd square, or section, straight west of Gerty. The road goes north through the middle of it. It certainly looks to be beautiful there, with the road between the hills. Is that creek named Little Sandy?

That's it peggy! I used the topo map, your information, and google maps to narrow it down. It's the area I drove through in March of this year and was taking pictures; just a few miles West of Gerty. It's in the area I photographed (below).

I have never been on that road. I will have to go take a look around that area. Today I am going up to the Corporation Commission to help fight pollution, but now that Christmas is taken care of, I will have more time to poke around the countryside.
