I have seen where there have been post's with people being amazed that there are hills/mountains in Oklahoma. Are there no posters from Southeastern Ok here? I can post some pictures up of what it looks like around here if anyone is interested.

This is what I see when I look out my front door.

Beautiful whip! Your pictures are highly encouraged. There is a sticky thread (below) where you can post wonderful pictures like this. I would LOVE to see more pics from someone that actually lives in SE Oklahoma. Most of my pics are canned. Please go to the thread below and post away!

Well on the other side of that hill is Poteau, I live about 5 miles (as the crow flies) north of Poteau.

I love the Pouteau area. My mom was born in Wister, In my early teens we lived west of Wister near between the Caston and Little Caston creeks. As far as I can remember that was the name of those creeks. Beautiful country. I graduated 8th grade from Fanshaw School.

I have an Aunt that lives in Wister, I'll go take some pictures down there too, Not a lot has changed there in the 15 years I have been in Ok. But Poteau has changed a bunch.

Hiya Whip! Great picture! Funny... when I hear "Southeastern Oklahoma" I always think of Durant.

We are major picture hounds around here, so please share!

Welcome to CD.

Hi Whip, that is a beautiful picture. We were down in your area about a year and a half ago. It's so pretty there. Our original intentions were to take the Talihamena Drive, but I ended up car sick by the time we drove around all the hills by Poteau.

We ended up driving north of there right along the OK/Ark. border. That's really pretty country. Waiting for more pics. LOL

Default Southeastern Oklahoma

Here is a picture out the front door of my parents home, they live on 150 acres across the road from Ft. Wa****a, just on the bank of the Wa****a River.
