Our work has sent out a virus alert, that says there is a virus going around where you do not even click the red X, it will automatically start the virus. Even if you click no, it starts. Sounds like you may have gotten something.

It's not the first time this has happened. There are a bunch of seasonal virus warnings going around, some new, some recycled from previous years.

I have wireless broadband and just figured it was their stuff going berserk. Glad to hear I was not alone.

Happy New Year - yawl.
I think it's the weather and some of the towers going bonkers. My brand new DSL modem went off a few days ago while I was on line, then came back on while I was talking to tech support. And I've had more dropped calls on my cell in the past few weeks than I've had in a year and a half, since I switched to AT&T

I know it won't last long, but we're having a little snowfall here right now! It's getting heavier, and it is beautiful. I love winter.

Regarding the virus: Funny thing is a while back this same thing kept appearing on my puter so I panicked and thought I really had a virus. I ran a scan and got the same thing took me a while to realize that something was not quite right with this. For the life of me I couldn't get rid of this pop up I had the same experience as Karibear I couldn't cancel, couldn't close it nothing. I finally shut everything down and rebooted. The darn thing showed up in the control panel so I removed it haven't had it since. I am glad to hear that I was not the only one to have this problem.

It's still lasting... LOL I've got a good 2 inch accumulation so far and no signs of it letting up!

Taken about 15 minutes ago...these cars had nothing on them this morning.

The latest virus alert is one where a window pops up on your screen and says something like, "Your computer has virus.blah blah, to scan your computer click okay"

And even if you click cancel, or ok, or the red X, your computer will be slammed.

We were told to just shut your computer off. Hope you guys don't get the blue screen of death.

LR, I was up at the Conoco around the corner from your place earlier, it is pretty heavy up there.
