Oh that's pretty cool Brandon is a pretty close "midwest" friendly feel, IMO compared to Tampa.

It's so funny to see so many people from Omaha here in Tampa. Maybe if we had known each other in Tampa it wouldn't have been so bad. I am, like most of you, moving back to Omaha. I live in wesley Chapel and loved the quietness of it until a few years ago. Now it's nothing but road construction and traffic jams. Luckily I am a remote worker and can take my work with me to Omaha. On June 3 we are headed to Omaha. We will miss our friends, but there's nothing like being around family.

I came here to find out more about internet providers, best packages for internet/long distance/cable. Since Cox seems to be the only solution, what's their best deal? I need unlimited long distance and good internet speeds. We also need wireless to the house. Do we have to buy our own hub?

Can't wait to be back in the Heartland where people know how to drive!!!

Trust me, Florida drivers (especially the ones in Tampa Bay) actually do suck worse than the ones in Omaha.

Yes, Tampa drivers are FAR FAR worse than Omaha drivers.

Cant help you on the packages imarose, i only used them for internet, but it was pretty good. I do recommend getting the insurance plan with them (i think 4 dollars a month). There were several times that stuff went wrong with the line in our house or outside and it was fixed for free.

I've done a little bit of research, has anyone heard of or know the area around these apartments?

These are all by broadmoor company (http://www.broadmoor.cc/apartments.aspx)

Bentley
822 North 94th Court
Omaha, Nebraska 68114
(402) 393-0420

Loveland
7515 Howard Street
Omaha, Nebraska 68114

Also found this crime map,

Bentley Apartments were my number 1 pick (location/price) until I saw the crime map. Then I started to look more at Loveland, which is in a much bluer area (see map)

Broardmoor
9434 U Court
Omaha, Nebraska 68127
(402) 339-1320

We like these too, but it looks a little bit of a drive to midtown/downtown/old market.

We really like the omaha loft look, but don't want to end up in a loud/frat boy building with parties all night. So we're going this route until we get in the city and plan on upgrading next year.

That said, can anyone provide any information on these areas, or maybe another location if it fits the bill?

Broadmoor are very, very nice apartments! Continue to consider those.

Midtown is just where the uninformed hipsters of Omaha cling dearly to as a "little piece of the big city". Midtown Crossing is about the only property in the entire area you can live in if you have any sort of base level standards, and you can't get in there. Move west and go into midtown if some night you want to pay $13 for a cocktail and have the bartenders making $7 bucks an hour pretend they are better than you.
