Let me warn you about a few things in Omaha. Folks on here paint a picture of the downtown area and mid-town as this utopian island in the city NOT.
Mid town is crime riddled around the outskirt neighbor that over flow into midtown. What ever you do make sure you rent place that have a garage.
Downtown is full if drunks and hippies when the sun goes down, it is a good place to visit, but I would not want to live there.
The old market is fun for about the first hour if you have never been there before. After that well it's old brick fire trap buildings that have been converted to new trendy joints that are in business for about 3 weeks.

South Omaha is OK, but still it smells like a diaper filled with Indian food from all the rendering plants in the summer.

North Omaha is North Omaha, murder capital of the state.... NUff said.

It's best to find a place out in west O, west O is where it is at. You get more bang for your mortage buck. That is where the pants party is at.

Omaha is considered a 20 minute town you are 20 minutes from anywhere in any direction, heck you are 5 minutes from Dowwntown to a cornfield. How cool is that?

Bad man punt Baxter!!!!!
I've never had any problems in either midtown or downtown. Calling it crime riddled is way over the top. To be honest, it is hard to read you because of your habit of way over dramatizing everything (much like mountainmen).

Fremont is a community that is only 12 miles west of Omaha (35 from downtown Omaha) that has a very good natural lake recreation area known as the Fremont lakes.

I grew up in the community so I'd know first hand.

Happy has no interest in being a meaningful contributor to this forum, he just says crazy things to get a reaction out of people. That's why the only time I'll even bother with him these days is if he's throwing his game at some noob who wouldn't know any better.

Truth does hurt......I am the only one on this forum that does tell like it is.

So go ahead and sugar coat you responces to someone (noob) who posts a question about Omaha and go ahead and insult me all you want.

Don't worry about it, Happy. He's a bully with an insecurity complex about Omaha and most people (even the noobs) see it that way after reading a few of his posts. Keep telling the truth.

I don't think they're the same person. Their styles are way too different so if they are the same person, they're doing a good job of hiding it.

That said, you've probably noticed over the last couple years that we'd have a troll pop in, have the same off the wall complaints about the city and disappear after a handful of posts, only to be replaced a couple months later by someone doing the exact same thing. Tones, if anyone remembers him, was one of those people.

It seems we have one or two people who really hate Omaha and have too much time on their hands. It wouldn't surprise me if MountainMen was one of those people.
