Hey, coulda' been a lot worse. I live not far from a 25,000 seat amphitheater that just changed its name from "The Nissan Pavilion" to "Jiffy Lube Live"----I'm not kidding.

Qwest Center. One of my mild pet peeves so I apologize now but seriously. Qwest Center, 9 years and we still don't get it?

It isn't the worst name ever. I will take it over the KFC Yum! Center any day of the week.

LOL!, that's great. +1

And to add something to this thread, I know a lot of people will keep calling it the Qwest center. It's just been that for so long now that I don't see the change holding. Much as the sears tower in chicago changed it's name to The Willis Tower around 3 years ago, almost no one calls it that.

I think it sounds stupid and I will always call it the Qwest.

This biggest thing is that announcers during basketball games and the swim trials ect will say "coming live from the CenturyLink Center Omaha."

They couldn't care less about some stubborn Omahans.

Geez, and I thought going from "The Ford Amphitheater" to the "1-800-ASK-GARY Amphitheater" was bad.
