I'm pretty sure Standing Bear Lake off of 132nd and Millitary has ducks. That's not too bad of a drive from Elkhorn. I'm sure all the other lakes in west Omaha (Wehrspann and Zorinsky) have ducks as well. If you feel like driving to Papillion, Walnut Creek is a nice lake.

When I lived in Omaha we fed ducks at Fontenelle and Benson Park, both just off of Ames Avenue.

*EDIT* Just saw you lived in West Omaha. Obviously both those parks are not very close to you. My mistake.

I hope your joking.

I don't know of any in West O since I don't go to those parks but there's lot of them in the ponds downtown like Freedom Park and GL Mall. Sorry I can't really help.

Go to BOYSTOWN (especially during the fall) -- lots of ducks and geese. There is a group of domestics that 'rule the roost' - they are followed by a gang of opportunistic wild ones -- then a group that will only get so close - then another group that want nothing to do with humans.

There is a small man-made lake behind The Baker's supermarket with a walking trail, docks and a community of domestic and mixed breed ducks and geese also.

Westport, lakeside, automn grove and boys town.

Boys town has a african goose two snow geese a swan and tons of Canadian geese and ducks. Westport has a african goose an tons of ducks. Lakeside we've seen a swan occasionally and a bunch of Canadian geese and ducks also wood ducks. Automn grove has some ducks and a free food dispenser for the ducks.
