I was browsing music on Amazon and came across the "100 Greatest Indie Rock Albums of All Time." Two Omaha indie bands made the list.

"Lifted, Or The Story Is In The Soil, Keep Your Ear To The Ground" by Bright Eyes (#21)

"The Ugly Organ" by Cursive (#80)

Makes me even more proud to live in Omaha. This is great news for the city's indie rock scene.

Yeah we sure do. If you haven't been to the new concert venue called Slowdown, do it. It's nothing short of amazing.

You didn't happen to go to the Matt Kearney concert there last night, did you?

I wasn't able to make it. I saw the bands Copeland last November and Relient K on the 3rd and both blew me away.

That's always good to see, but when it comes to Omaha music, 311 holds the crown.

Yes they do. Completely different genre, but 311 is truly great.

They're one of the greatest live bands of this generation, maybe ever.
