I've been doing some googling, and found a few places, but I was wondering if you all could tell who are the big IT employers in OC.

Thanks.

Off the top of my head:
Broadcomm
Boost Mobile
Ingram-Micro
Quest Software
Blizzard Entertainment
Acer
Toshiba
Google

I'm sure there are many more, care to be more specific?

Amazon is starting to build a presence here. There's a small team right now, but they're trying to hire a lot of people.

That sucks. Now I'm going to have to pay tax on Amazon purchases.

No, you won't. When Amazon opens offices outside of WA, they go by the name A2Z development. There are actually already several Amazon offices in CA.

Any of the big employers in OC whose business is on the upside will be an IT employer. Pacific Life in Aliso Viejo or Newport Beach, for example. Applied Medical in RSM. Kia or Hyundai offices in Irvine and Tustin. Hyundai Capital in Irvine has a gleaming new building next to I-405 + Jamboree. Lots of possibilities, the trick is to find a company in growth mode - employers are starting to hire people in certain parts of the economy that are not tied to the real estate, construction and lending industry that collapsed in OC during the prior 3-4 years.

Cisco Systems has a campus in Irvine, not as large as their San Jose site but still pretty good size.

Maybe the list included in this article will help since the fastest growing tech employers are more likely than others to be looking for new employees:

Fastest growing tech firms: O.C. has 16
