Which is better? What do you think of San Clemente in general, east of the 5?

To be annoyingly anal, it's actually North of the 5. But anyway, if you like master-planned cookie-cutter neighborhoods with HOAs, head for the hills. If you like an eclectic mix of architectural styles, cooler temps, traditional neighborhoods and funky, winding streets, stay in the older parts of town.

It's much like broccoli... some people like it, some don't. I don't.

The people in the new areas come here to the old areas on their days off. What does that tell you?
