I couldn't find as much information as I wanted but based on the info I have & what you know, what do you think?

Info:
[all monthly]
Rent (Cypress, 1br) - $1049
Phone Bills - $95
Auto Insurance - $75-85
Internet/Netflix: $50

I couldn't find avg. food, electric or gas.
Basically, all the critical information

I know BP/Anaheim would be a few hundred (to possibly $500 :O) cheaper but with our transportation, the commute could kill us.
[4.45 miles (minimum) is a two hour walk and we only have a motorcycle. With only one of us licensed/registered to drive it.]
---> school is in Cypress.

Any help?
It's for two college age young adults.

I spend $15-20/mo on my gas bill in Los Al. Gas water heater and gas oven. Never use the heat.

Electric $50-100(summer has higher rates, of course). If you use the A/C heavily it will shoot up to a few hundred. Most apartments aren't very well insulated. If you have an electric stove/range or electric water heater, the bill will be higher(sometimes significantly)

Food.. depends on you. My family of three goes through about $600/mo in groceries(including general items like paper towels and such). There is a Fresh and Easy in Cypress and they have fairly inexpensive dishes if you don't like to prepare your own food(but you should because it's significantly cheaper)

Don't forget laundry, btw..
