I didn't live with him, I think they use Laguna PD. I have known of 3-5 that have lived in EB. But then again what crime in EB, although I am sure they have breakins.

I more or less asked that as a joke...of course it's Laguna PD. Live part time at Laguna Cove just above EB. It's considered Laguna Beach despite what some may say. Just like Cdm is technically Newport.

Great answer, thank you. Did you get the $6500 psf figure from a source or is it an estimate? I have only been able to find medians for an entire city (highest are Laguna, NB of course).

It seems like the wealth of Orange County has nearly always been centered in Newport and Laguna. Are there any places that in Orange county that even come close? I know Villa Park/Tustin and Dana Point have high real real estate values and beautiful homes, but the 'beach kings' have truly astounding wealth.

I'd even go further to say that Emerald and NB are the most prime and expensive in all of Southern California, or am I way off base here?

$6500/sq ft is stupid to even say. You realize that for a small 2500 square foot house that is over 16 million dollars? And any house that is so expensive isn't going to be 2500 square feet! It would be close to 10,000 square feet - which would be 65 million dollars! I'm willing to bet that 6500 is a ridiculous number and most likely not true, because the most expensive house in the entire USA is only 190 million. It has 13,500 square feet, and estimating that the land alone is probably worth 50 million, then the most expensive house in the USA is only $10,370/sq ft. So I highly doubt $6500/sq ft is accurate.

NOW FOR THE FACTS:
The average sale price per square foot for a home in Laguna Beach is $992, which is 180.23% higher than the rest of Orange County.

102 Emerald Bay, North Laguna (Laguna Beach), CA 92651 (MLS# OC13173265) - North Laguna (Laguna Beach) CA Real Estate - CaliforniaMoves.com
This one translates to over 15k a square foot..check out the sight above searching Laguna there are a few in the 12k psf. range as well.
Yes, Laguna Beach does command 6,500k in some select places on it's Northern border. I know the average is 992psf. for Laguna; I thought we were discussing wealthiest hoods or most expensive.

It is on the sand!!! almost no land left anywhere in southern cal that can boast that...

Not only the 30 mil asking price for a tear down..watch what is built in its place..

Original family owners will be estatic if they get even close to 30 mil

which they will
