Thomas bros maps. Found it in my "office". Someone interesed? Give me a PM and it is yours.

No pages missing, good shape. From my days driving a semi, no computers.....

That's pretty cool. I remember my mom had a ~1980 Thomas Bros. map for LA county that I grew up looking at. It was completely beat up by the time she got a new one in the mid 90's.

Think my dad used a Rand McNally one. I liked the Thomas Bros one better though, for sure.

Yeah, and Rand McNally bought Thomas Bros a number of years ago. The last TB atlas I bought (just last week) for SBDO and Riverside Counties (it had been six years and a few cities incorporated since then) changed over to the Rand McNally font/layout. It looks QUITE different. I feel vaguely disloyal.

But I kept the one from 2009 with the TB font just because.

I am 56, not old, not very young... And had a heart attack, pneumonia and a CHF. So, i am happy to be alive, just cleaning the house. There is no family to leave the stuff.

I am into maps, and thought, that is a nice collectors item. It has been given away already....

Thanks for this thread. Nice throwback to the ultimate solution of the days before Mapquest and GPS.

Well really my daughter had the ultimate solution .. get on her cell phone and tell me.. Daddy I am lost in Chino/Irvine/Tucson/wherever.

I think I used to have one of those myself! They were great and a must have for navigating So Cal.
