I thought the Police were supposed to serve and protect?

I was pissed too but it seems the blame lands with the OC Sheriff

Feudalism will be our next stop. Gated communities will be in higher demand as the proletariat is left to fend for itself. Eventually, "protection" will emerge from unsavory actors but they will expect payment for your safety.

Then be all means, give him what he wants (I'm sure he wouldn't mind some more TV coverage...him and the rest of his group will probably claim police brutality and get a little more media coverage). And in all likelihood, he'd be out tomorrow.
