Chargers ready to back up talk as training camp begins in Costa Mesa – Orange County Register

Obviously they will have to work hard as soon as they move to OC. They will need to win.

Do you see yourself as a possibly becoming a Chargers fan or were you one already?

Like many people in Orange County I'm a transplant and already have my football ties elsewhere. I'm not sure that this is really a good idea by the Chargers in general to move away from San Diego. But yeah I haven't heard of anyone excited about them being here.

It's a great move for the Spanos family as it helps to increase the value of their franchise. After all it's a business.

My son is a big Charger fan so he is excited about them being closer. We do have tickets to go see them practice in Costa Mesa a few times. My son wants to go see a game, but there is no way I am taking a little kid to a NFL game. Too many folks that can't handle their liquor and start fights / cursing. We'll watch the games at home instead. That's one of the reasons I bought a 75" TV.

LA Rams or LA Chargers...

Between the two, I'd probably go Chargers. Jarad Goff, and Gurley are way too inconsistent for me. I see a 5-11, 6-10 type of year for the Rams.

5-11 for the Rams would be over achieving for them.

I think Sean McVay is going to help the Rams offense a lot, but not enough to even sniff a Wildcard.

Wouldn't it make sense for the Chargers to build their stadium in OC rather than LA? They would have OC to themselves (and much of the IE)

The franchise valuation is going DOWN if no one's attending games, watching games, or buying merchandise. Especially if Socal housing prices keep rising.

The Chargers have a good roster on both sides of the ball and can compete for a WC spot IF they can stay healthy. Big IF, though. They've got to have the worst Strength & Conditioning staff in the entire NFL.
