I will be moving to Redondo Beach/Hermosa Beach Area in July, but I will be working in Anaheim. Is traffic bad on the 91 heading East in the am (8-9am), is the 91 West bad in the PM ( 630-730 pm)? and is the 91 the best route to take to get to Anaheim? Thanks so much for the help!!!

that is not a very fun route. traffic getting past the 5/91 interchange is one of the worst in the county and the LA county portion isn't a cakewalk either as the freeway is small and has heavy commercial and commuter traffic in la county. alternate route of 405s to 22e to 5n/57n may be faster, though the 22/5/57 interchange(orange crush) is bad as well. on the bright side, by 630pm, most of the traffic is alleviating, so you're ride home will be okay.

You can also use Google Maps with the Traffic feature selected.
Then select "change" next to Live Traffic.
There you can enter days of the week and time of day.

Very useful

that is kind of a reverse commute, but anytime you have to drive that kind of distance, you're bound to hit plenty of traffic.
