Advice from those in language, platforms, computer skills (Corona: construction, schools)

I have been in construction most of my life except for a few years in the acting field(sag card holder).

I am in my 50's, and looking for a way to finish out the rest of my career. Have spoken to my one friend that is in this business, and only get so many answers. So I am going to a board to see what responses I can get.

Can anyone point me in a direction, meaning what to learn, schools, the whole lot.

I can build you a beautiful house, but we all know where the market is there. And I don't see it coming back for a long while. I have lived in Corona del Mar all my life, never have I seen it like this! And I thought wearing a sweater, sitting in gas lines was bad.

How about starting an internet business selling something you like or know something about? Are there construction related products you can sell and possibly drop ship from a manufacturer? Doesn't require a whole lot of technological training to get going with it. My wife and I have two such businesses we run on the side of our day jobs that we'll probably use to supplement our retirements.
