Hello,

I'm looking to explore a new pub this evening. I'd like to leave Portland, drive between 30 and 60 minutes along a quiet road and end up in a cool little town with a couple nice little pubs. Where should I go? Does such a place exist?

Thanks!

Hood River.
Double Mountain Brewery, great pizza and amazing beer.
Full Sail Brewery, great views, good food, great beer, sit at the bar for the best service.
Brian's Pourhouse, nice atmosphere, good food, good drinks, nice people.

Sorry if this is a double post. last one not showing.

Is Edgefield McMinammins already on your list? In Troutdale? Not really that far out and not along a winding road. But lovely in early evening. Indoors or out.
yep double post. but I often repeat myself when talking about McMinamins.

Lemming is on to something, McM has a lot of pubs in odd places, many of which are out of PDX. If you can stand their food and beer, they're great to visit.

It's a bit further then 60 minutes, but there are a couple of cool little pubs up in Welches along 26 to Mt. Hood.

On the west side, Helvetia Tavern near North Plains has pretty good burgers.
