Hoping that I can find a group of fellow potters so that I can get back into the swing of things with pottery after an upcoming move to the southern coast. I've been out of it for about 6 years, due to work, life, all the regular excuses.

I'd only rate myself as an amateur potter, and had the good luck of access to a community college studio for a number of years where I was able to work and simply pay for and contribute to materials. Consequently, and due to the amount of time I've been away from wheels and kilns, I would be more than a little rusty if I tried to get started again on my own (I can still throw a pot, and might even have a little asbestos in my fingertips still, but, ask me a cone rating and.... .... .... my technical knowledge is not what it used to be).

I would love to find out about a place or groups that occasionally get together for large firings, or even an open studio where I can reeducate myself and have others to discuss and help with planning for an at home studio.
