Just got back from a visit to check out the area.

I did not have much time to spend, as I was checking out both Eugene and Roseburg.

I really like the Roseburg area, and would like to find a safe neighborhood to rent a house. Can anyone fill me in on Roseburg North? I don't think I made it there

Thanks in advance. Need to make a decision soon about the move/job offer.

What, like Winchester around Amacher Park? Nice area. North Umpqua River. Palatial riverfront estates. If you have a few million bucks to spend you can find a really nice place. On a more modest scale, there are numerous modern subdivisions in the unincorporated areas. Costco is in North Roseburg.

North Roseburg? Like city limits or areas north of Roseburg? Because if you live in North Roseburg, it is still only like ten minutes to the south side of town.

Further north of the city limits, it is still just a short few minute drive down I-5 or a back road to shopping and services downtown in Roseburg. It is all very close. Northwest of Roseburg as well is close, and mostly rural area. You can feel like you are out in the country, surrounded by forest or farms, but still be within 20 minutes of town.
