I can see why there would be some concern about the local races, particularly if you live in a community that leans heavily one way or another, politically. Your top two slots could be occupied by two people who share more of the same attitudes and beliefs rather than providing contrasts.

I thought this debate was very good and even handed about Measure 90: Your Voice, Your Vote: Should Oregon change its primary system?

I voted on Monday. By today, all the robocalls had magically disappeared. I expect the flyers will vanish by the end of the week, as the mail catches up. I love modern tech. They focus all those millions of dollars on people who haven't voted yet.

Anybody know how Steve Pickering's run for the Dallas, Oregon, City Council position went?
I can't find the results for that race anywhere.

Maybe we have a full fledged elected politician on our hands now!

No, it is an election to fill 4 seats, so the 4 candidates with the highest # of voters win.
