Starting next month, in August, it will mark six years since I moved to Medford (actually, I live in Phoenix, but whatever). What are the hottest and coldest temperatures you've experienced wherever you live in Oregon?
For me, the coldest temperature I have experienced here in Medford was 2°F in December 2013, and the hottest is 108°F in June 2015. I used the Weather Underground data to confirm that these are the temperatures.

I moved from Ohio to Oregon in 2011.

In Stark County, Ohio:
Hottest = +104
Coldest = -20
Average of 48" of snow per year.

In Damascus/Happy Valley, OR:
Hottest = +105
Coldest = +10
Average of ...."what's snow?" per year.

Haven't been here very long, but so far. 79°F on April 27. 37°F on April 15. The summer temperatures seem less variable. Yesterday was a high of 68°F and a low of 61°F.

Medford is too extreme for me, I think.

On the other side of the Cascades (halfway between the south entrance to Crater Lake and Klamath Falls) the low hit -23F in winter 2013 (and was below zero for about a week). Even when it is 106° in Medford, I'd rather cope with hot summers than frigid winters.

I can update this to 81°F as of Saturday. Still not bad compared to the 100°F temperatures inland.

Oregon's weather can be a little bi polar, the coldest recorded temps were in 1933, the whole state went into a deep freeze with Seneca hitting -54 degrees. Crater Lake recorded a record snowfall of 890 inches in 1933, that's 74 feet of snow in one year.

I recall in Roseburg in 1973 the temps hit -17.

Yes, we can have some pretty cold weather here.
